Q: Why should I go for a higher education in the USA?

Q: Is there any age limit in USA to study for?

There is no upper age to study within the state but you have to fulfil the minimum age requirement.

Q: I am working for five years with some company. Can I still apply in state for higher education with having five years of gap?

There is a misconception among students that the working is considered as a gap, but in reality the gap is considered as time when you are doing nothing. The time engaged in job, learning courses, etc. is not considered as a gap, by producing authenticated documents.

Q: How much gap is acceptable in USA for higher education?

A student can apply for higher education with a gap of 12 months (01 Year) and student needs to justify the gap.

Q: What type of institutions are in the USA?

There are three types of institutes in the USA;

  • Private, 2) public and     3) non-profit organisation universities.

Q: What is the right time to apply for admission in universities in the USA?

The students can apply in three intakes: – Spring (January- February), Summer (May – June) and Fall (August-September) intakes. But students in international category (non US residents) they are encouraged to apply in Spring and Fall intakes. Also some universities have rolling intake.

WE encourage you to apply 3-4 months prior to start the intake.

Q: What type of Courses can I opt in the universities?

There are four basic categories of the courses.

1) Undergraduate             2) Graduate

3) Certificate                      4) Associate

Q: What type of English Proficiency tests are there which I can opt for English support?

There are following types of English proficiency tests:

IELTS, TOEFL, ESL, PTE

Q: What is the requirement for English Proficiency test for taking admission in the university?

For undergraduate programs you have to score 5.5 IELTS & 43 in PTE, TOEFL iBT 61 and for Graduate programs you have to score 6.0 in IELTS & 47 in PTE, TOEFL iBT 79.

Q: Can I have admission without English Proficiency test?

Yes, you can have admission without English Proficiency Test. But for that you have to check the eligibility and you must be fulfilling the essential requirements for the admission process.

Q: Can I work during my studies?

Yes! But after registering at the International Students Department. Depending upon the university to university, you can work maximum for 20 Hours per week.

Q: What after completion of studies?

You can opt for OPT with payback provision.

Q: What is OPT?

OPT is Optional Practical Training, which students can get after the completion of their studies, starting from 12 months to 29 months under the STEM . This turns them as a payback option for them.

Q: I am a married person. Can my spouse join me? If yes! Then on what parameters?

Yes! You can. But not together. The spouse can join after two months on F-2 visa type, after following the right procedure through International Admissions Dept. of the university.

Q: What are the types of visa?

The main visa types are mentioned as follows:-

  1.  Student Visa- F1
  2. Short Term Internships – J Type
  3. Spouse Visa – F-2 Type
  4. Tourist Visa – B-1/B-2
  5. Vocational Courses – M type

Q: For how much time, my visa is applicable?

The length of visa depends upon the duration of the course. But some of the students get visa for five years for study. So the span of your visa depends upon your time of study.

Q: I already been through embassy interview once and rejected. Can I apply for the second time?

Yes! You can apply but you need to change your application.

Q: How do I know that my university or college is accredited?

You can come to know the accreditation of your university by visiting CHEA (Councils for Higher Education Accreditation). It is an association of 3000 degree granting and universities and recognize approx. 60 institutions and programmic accrediting organisations.
